Working and training in a busy pharmacy you will gain the skills and experience required as a starting point for a career as a dispenser. On successful completion of the apprenticeship the employer would be willing to provide the professional qualifications needed to become a dispenser to the right candidate.

Duties will include:

• Serving customers
• Developing product knowledge
• Providing excellent levels of customer service
• Dealing with customer enquiries in a sensitive manner
• Dealing with difficult customers
• Maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Taking cash payments
• Taking card payments
• Taking deliveries
• Understudy pharmacy / healthcare assistants in customer service
• Delivering customer service over the telephone
• Solving problems for customers that come into the pharmacy
• Maintaining stock levels
• Stock rotation and merchandising
• Ordering products
• Using internal IT system and procedures

• Customer service practitioner Level 2 qualification
