About the role

A 5-year degree apprenticeship combining practical experience at Lloyds Banking Group with a fully funded BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, followed by CIMA qualification. Apprentices will rotate through various finance and business teams including Core Finance, Audit & Assurance, Risk & Governance, Strategic Business Management, Taxation & Treasury, and other business areas to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the bank operates.

Requirements

Must be 18 on 1st September 2026. Must possess a valid Right to Work in the UK with visa end date extending beyond the 5-year apprenticeship duration. No visa sponsorship available due to Home Office Skilled Worker requirements and salary threshold. Hybrid working policy requires minimum 2 days per week in office; apprentices expected in office most days during initial settling-in period.

Training & development

Fully funded degree and professional training. Apprentices will work on real finance projects including forecasting, reporting, risk analysis, and investments. Training covers creation, verification and review of financial information, development of soft skills including collaboration, communication and influencing, and hands-on experience with data analytics platforms and modern reporting tools.
Future prospects
Upon completion, apprentices will earn a BSc (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance, become CIMA qualified, and have the skills, confidence and qualifications to advance their finance career within or outside the organization.
