Minimum grades

About the role
This is an alternative route to full-time University. You'll study part-time at one of Network Rail's partnered Universities towards a BSc (Hons). Putting your university-learned theory into practice, you'll hone your current IT skills and learn new ones. As part of the IT Apprentice Academy, you'll gain vast and varied exposure, but specifically in Telecommunications teams, implementing cutting-edge, innovative technologies and applications, supporting business change initiatives or working in IT Operations teams. You'll learn what it means to be a Network Engineer, Project Manager, Data Analyst, Business Analyst or Information Security Analyst.
Requirements
Fascinated by Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or Information Security and passionate about IT. Strong attention to detail, enjoy working as part of an innovative team. Flair for creative solutions, highly organised, logical thinker and confident communicating and presenting ideas to others.

Training & development
Part-time university study towards BSc (Hons) degree combined with practical hands-on experience in IT and Telecommunications. Exposure to Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Security, and IT Operations. Scheme manager support and guidance throughout 3 years with continuous coaching, regular progress reviews and catch-ups.
Future prospects
Achievement of an Apprenticeship in Digital Skills and Technology Solutions and a BSc (Hons) degree. Expected progression into roles covering Network Engineering, Information Security, IT Project Management, and IT Business Analytics.
