Network & Infrastructure Engineer apprentice
About the role
- TCP/IP networking.
- Switching and routing.
- VLANs, firewalls and VPNs.
- Network troubleshooting.
- Windows and/or Linux infrastructure.
- Monitoring, logging or SOC/NOC tools.
- Cyber security awareness.
- Documentation and change control.
Useful experience includes:
- Industrial networks.
- SCADA / PLC / automation environments.
- Critical infrastructure.
- Cisco/Allied Telesis, Fortinet, Hirschmann or Moxa.
- SIEM or log monitoring, SNMP Zabbix, Zeek, XDR - Wazah.
- Scripting or automation.
- IEC 62443 / NCSC CAF / CE or other cyber security frameworks.
Working week
Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Training & development
As part of the Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship Standard, you’ll be on a fast track to an industry-recognised qualification and your dedicated industry coach will support you through a blended approach that will include remote, in-person, 1-2-1 and group learning.

This role may involve occasional travel to customer sites (expensed)
Training and mentorship will be provided throughout the apprenticeship
Opportunity to progress into a full-time engineering role upon successful completion.
Potential full time position for the right candidate after completion of the apprenticeship.
