About the role

As a TfL Land Surveyor, you'll gain experience of working on a range of projects across London's transport infrastructure which support the design, engineering, construction and asset management processes. Land Surveyors make use of rapidly evolving technology such as drones, 3D laser scanners, satellite and inertial navigation systems to capture accurate data in new innovative ways.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade 4 (C) and above including Maths and English language; Hold or be working towards a minimum of 2 A-Levels at grades A* - C (or equivalent) in any subject; Must be 18 years old by September 2025

Training & development

5-year development programme made up of placements within the Land Survey team and wider Engineering team. Apprentices will gain experience working on a range of projects across London's transport infrastructure. On successful completion, you'll roll-off into the Land Survey team as a Land Surveyor (Band 2 Engineer).
Future prospects
BSc (Hons) Surveying and Mapping Science accredited by the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES). Position as Land Surveyor (Band 2 Engineer) providing survey data, drawings, models and geospatial information across complex projects and programmes.
