Childcare Apprentice
About the role
At Cheeky Monkey's Day Nursery you will be working towards the Early Years Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.
** This role is advertised for a Level 2 apprenticeship programme, however for applicants that have previous experience or already hold a Level 2 qualification, a Level 3 apprenticeship programme will be considered.
Your roles and responsibilities include:
- Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment
- To help deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
- To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
- To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures
- To be a key person
- To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
- To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives
Requirements
Working week
Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.

Required qualifications
Training & development
Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 2, including Functional Skills in Maths and English.
Full time permanent role within the nursery and career progression.
