About the role

As a Finance Apprentice at Amazon, you'll join as a Financial Analyst and rotate across three different placements over the course of your programme. These rotations expose you to a variety of finance disciplines including Accounting, Finance, and Tax, giving you a broad and well-rounded understanding of how financial decisions are made in a global organisation. Your rotations could take place in teams across many areas of Amazon, such as AWS, Retail, Fresh, Prime Video, or other corporate and operational business lines. You'll support financial processes that help leaders make informed, sustainable decisions, analyse complex data, prepare reports, and collaborate with teams across the business.

Requirements

Be 18+ before the start date (September 2026), Have the right to live and work in England for the programme duration, Have lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years, Be a UK resident for the full duration, Not be registered on another government-funded course ending August 2026 or later, Hold 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English, Hold 3 A Levels at grades BBC or equivalent, Not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level, Provide a UK ENIC Statement of Comparability if studied internationally.

Training & development

Mix of on-the-job training, online study, and mentoring. You'll learn how to apply core accounting principles to real business scenarios, assist with budgeting and financial forecasting, analyse data and produce accurate financial reports, work with financial software and databases, build strong working relationships with teams and stakeholders, and understand regulatory and ethical considerations in accountancy.

Things to consider

You do not need prior finance experience - just the motivation to learn and grow. You should enjoy working with numbers and solving analytical problems, communicate clearly and confidently with different stakeholders, have strong attention to detail and organisational skills, be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines, be curious, proactive, and eager to develop your expertise, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
