About the role

We are looking for a confident and conscientious individual to undertake the role of Apprentice Transport Engagement Officer. Successful transport schemes depend on meaningful community engagement to deliver the best outcomes for our residents, businesses and visitors. Southampton's Local Transport Plan, Connected Southampton, sets out a vision to create a modern, liveable and sustainable city by investing in smarter, greener and more innovative transport solutions. The postholder will assist in developing and delivering engaging consultation and community involvement programmes for transport projects. This will include organising events, supporting community co-design activities, conducting surveys and gathering feedback to ensure local voices help shape future transport improvements.

Confident and conscientious individual with ability to communicate key transport and sustainability messages effectively.

Full time - 37 hours per week

Training & development

Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship with LDN Apprenticeships. The duration of this apprenticeship is 15 months with 5 months for the End Point Assessment. Practical and professional training from the start, working alongside experienced colleagues with a dedicated mentor providing support and guidance throughout training. Regular reviews with manager and tutor.
Future prospects
Achievement of a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification in Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner while you work.
