About the role
Join Deloitte's Audit BrightStart Higher Apprenticeship programme in Manchester. You'll work on auditing company financial reports independently, ensuring accuracy and trust in financial reporting. The role involves working with major organisations across two core areas: Large & Complex Audit (listed companies, financial services, banks, insurers) and Portfolio Audit (private corporates, real estate funds, pension schemes). You'll gain real-world experience while being paid to learn and progress, working on both client-facing and office-based tasks in a hybrid working environment.
Requirements
Must have obtained or be studying towards at least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for A levels or equivalent. Core skills essential to all Early Careers roles at Deloitte are required (visit Candidate Zone for detailed descriptions). Candidates requiring Skilled Worker visa sponsorship cannot be progressed as the salary does not meet the minimum threshold under Immigration Rules.
Working week
Hybrid working arrangement combining office and home working. Client-facing roles may require attendance at client sites on certain days. Mix of online and in-person meetings. Final assessment and induction will be in-person.

Training & development
World-class training scheme including foundational knowledge for audit and assurance engagements. Study towards Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with ICAEW or ICAS (depending on location). Development of technical skills, soft skills (communication, professional scepticism, decision-making, resilience, project management, leadership), and digital tools including AI and data analytics.
Additional training
Coverage of mandated courses, permitted exam attempts, and membership fees required for professional qualification. Training in digital tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies to support high-quality audit work.
