About the role

Join Saffery as a Personal Tax Trainee studying towards the ATT/CTA tax pathway qualification. You'll assist with tax returns, computations and compliance filings for a range of high net worth private clients, work with financial and client data, use specialist software and systems, carry out technical research, prepare reports and documentation, build client and colleague relationships, contribute to delivering accurate tax solutions, and work on specialist personal tax planning projects. The training contract includes a structured development programme combining professional study with on-the-job learning, a six-week business simulation designed by Kaplan to build professional skills, and mentorship from experienced colleagues.

Requirements

A minimum of 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels or Highers (or equivalent), excluding General Studies and AS Levels. A minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language (or equivalent). Applications from AAT qualified candidates are welcome. No prior relevant work experience is required.

Training & development

Structured development programme combining professional study with on-the-job learning. Bespoke School Leaver Programme developed with Kaplan including a six-week business simulation designed to build key professional skills such as teamwork, decision-making and leadership. Full support and access to first-class tuition centres. If AAT Level 4 qualified, eligible for exemptions; otherwise trainees complete the full ATT/CTA syllabus. Studying alongside a cohort to maximise exam success. Mentorship, structured training, off-site trainee programmes and regular social events.

Future prospects
