About the role

JCB engineers are hard at work redesigning the landscape of agriculture and construction vehicles, including a new hydrogen engine that will help drive towards a zero carbon future. You'll follow the journey of one of our products from the initial idea to the design stage, build, test and ultimately arrive at the finished article. Rotating around the business on six-month placements such as Design, Development, Electrical, Research and more, you'll settle into a specific department for the final part of your programme. There's also an opportunity to do a three-month commercial placement outside the business to give you a completely rounded view of a career in engineering. The programme combines on-the-job and off-the-job training, and blocks of days where you'll study at university.

Requirements

Entry to the programme of study is normally through demonstration of a minimum of 112 tariff points. Applicants must also hold GCSE grades in Maths, English and additional STEM subject at grades C, 4, or above. Disciplines studied post-GCSE must include any Engineering or relevant STEM subjects (Physics recommended). In addition to the required entry tariff applicants must have also achieved an A level in Maths at grade B.
