About the role

Requirements

GCSE Maths and English Language at level 5 or higher, and three further GCSEs level 5 (C) or above to include one STEM subject OR Engineering Vocational qualification level 3/90 credits/540 GLH or higher. In addition, A level Maths at grade B or higher and a second A level at grade C or above in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or Design & Technology.

Training & development

Apprentices will study for a BEng (Hons) Applied Professional Engineering Programme with University of Warwick (Warwick Manufacturing Group). Throughout the first three years, study core modules delivered through block teaching weeks, online study and independent learning. In the fourth year, complete a work-based project which forms part of the end point assessment (EPA). Three pathways available: Electrical or Electronic Technical Support, Manufacturing, or Product Design and Development.
Additional training
Corporate and local inductions into JLR in September 2026. Overview of business and strategic direction. Network with other joiners and key stakeholders. Induction at University of Warwick. Personal and professional training and development throughout. Mentorship from industry experts and support networks.
Future prospects
Develop skills, knowledge and practical experience across the four-year programme to unlock your career. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and EPA, excel candidates will be offered a substantive role with JLR.
