This role is ideal for someone looking to begin their career in Quantity Surveying while studying towards a recognised qualification through our Academy programme. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience across live construction projects, working alongside experienced commercial professionals who will support your development both academically and professionally. Job Description:  As a trainee Quantity Surveyor you will: • Assist with day-to-day quantity surveying and commercial activities across construction projects • Support cost planning, budgeting, procurement and financial reporting • Help monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance • Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to support successful project delivery • Undertake site visits and develop an understanding of construction contracts, regulations and industry best practice • Learn from experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers while balancing workplace learning with your studies This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Trainee Quantity Surveyor and the range of duties to be undertaken. Requirements: Technical Competencies   Essential  •Currently studying, or planning to undertake, a degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline, and able to meet the entry requirements for the relevant Graduate Apprenticeship programme. •Demonstrate strong communication skills. •Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills •Strong IT skills. •Right to work in the UK. •Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable : •An appreciation of Health & Safety practices. •Ability to work independently or as part of a team. •Previous work experience specifically in Construction industry. •Able to demonstrate problem solving.
