About the role
As a Financial Services Professional Apprentice, you'll build client relationships, learn how banking really works, and earn industry-recognised qualifications - all while getting paid. This apprenticeship gives you the chance to study with Kaplan and CBI while gaining experience across different banking roles. Topics covered include professionalism & ethics, commercial lending, green & sustainable finance, and legal & regulatory frameworks. Work includes managing client portfolios, analysing performance, supporting financial queries, working as a Securities Settlements Analyst, and exploring product areas like sustainable finance and commercial cards.
Requirements
Must be a resident or have been born in Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey. Must be at least 18 years old on 1st September 2026. Must currently possess a valid Right to Work in the UK with visa end date extending beyond the 3-year apprenticeship duration. GCSEs at grade 4-9 in Maths and English. 3 A Levels at grade BCC (grades can be predicted but any offer is conditional upon successful achievement).
Working week
Hybrid working with office attendance at least 2 days per week (40% for full-time colleagues). Apprentices expected in office most days during initial settling-in period.

Training & development
Blended learning combining classroom training with on-the-job experience. Fully funded Level 6 Financial Services Professional apprenticeship with Kaplan and Chartered Banker Institute (CBI). Includes CBI Diploma and Professional Banking Certificate.
Additional training
Support provided through a mentor, manager, and buddy system. Access to a network of colleagues for professional development and growth.
Future prospects
Upon completion, apprentices will have a fully funded Level 6 Financial Services Professional apprenticeship, CBI Diploma and Professional Banking Certificate, experience across multiple areas of banking, and skills applicable throughout the financial services sector.

Things to consider
Apprenticeship is now closed for applications. Candidates must have valid Right to Work in the UK with visa extending beyond 3 years. Visa sponsorship is not available as the proposed salary does not meet the Home Office Skilled Worker minimum threshold.
