Support learners with their language and literacy skills Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) Supporting pupils with their numeracy, literacy and ICT skills Support children in the various areas within the class Understand the safeguarding and behaviour policy and their role within these policies Promote the welsh culture Working with children aged on Early Years and KS1 Supporting a teacher in various roles within the classroom Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times whilst working in schools Support with afterschool provision, which includes sports activities As part of this Apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake a structured training programme that includes: On-the-job training – gaining practical experience within a school setting. Off-the-job training – attending sessions covering safeguarding, behaviour management, child development and learning strategies. Regular assessments and feedback to track progress and improve skills. Additional learning support, particularly in literacy, numeracy and communication.
