Daily Duties:

• Assemble, wire, test and inspect products to technical drawings
• Work across mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Use CAD software and engineering tools
• Support hydraulic system design, build and testing
• Follow manufacturing and quality procedures
• Fault finding to sub-assembly level
• Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, sensors)
• Support project planning, scheduling and improvements
• Maintain engineering documentation and IT systems

• On-site training classes at Baker Hughes
• Mentoring by experienced engineers
• Rotations across departments (assembly, testing, design, inspection)
• Hands-on experience with real engineering projects

• Year 1 - 2 days equivalent
• Year 2 - 1.5 days equivalent - WC
• Year 3 - 1.5 days equivalent - WC/UWE
• Year 4 - 1 day equivalent - UWE
• College will be held at our new Aerospace Skills Academy (ASA) in Filton, Bristol. (BS34 7PA)
