Apprentice Site Supervisor
About the role
- Support the day-to-day supervision of construction activities on site
- Assist with planning and coordinating work to ensure projects remain on schedule
- Monitor health, safety and environmental requirements and promote safe working practices
- Work with tradespeople, subcontractors, suppliers and other members of the site team
- Carry out site inspections and help monitor the quality of completed work
- Assist with site records, reports, progress updates and other project documentation
- Attend site meetings, briefings and toolbox talk
- Help organise materials, equipment and resources required for planned works
- Identify and report potential issues, risks or delays to the Site Manager
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, contractors, clients and other stakeholders
- Develop practical knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications
- Work towards taking greater responsibility for supervising construction activities as skills and experience develop
Working week
Monday to Thursday 8.30 am - 4.30 pm Friday 8.00 am - 4.00pm.

Block release every 6 weeks at AccXel.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent Site Supervisor role and take on greater responsibility for managing construction activities, teams and projects. With further experience and development, progression could include roles such as Site Manager, Construction Manager or Project Manager. The apprenticeship also provides a strong foundation for further professional and higher-level construction qualifications.
