About the role

  • Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared prior to learners attending and are linked to overarching Schemes Of Work.(Full Training Given)
  • Deliver relevant Motor Vehicle qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3 in either classroom-based or workplace environments (Full Training Given)
  • Undertake pastoral duties and support learners on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
  • Planning, preparation and delivery of vocational sessions alongside all other qualifications
  • Regularly assess learners work to awarding body and Ofsted CIF criteria
  • Create conditions in the training centre which will help to develop the abilities,skills and confidence of each learner
  • Empathise,engage and inspire all learners across programmes
  • Assist in delivering engaging and effective tutoring sessions to students
  • Support learners in their academic progress and personal development
  • Collaborate with experienced tutors to develop lesson plans and required material
  • Monitor and provide constructive feedback of student progress
  • Behaviour management

Working week

Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 4.30pm. 30 minute lunch break.

Things to consider

  • Relevant Vocational and industry experience as appropriate for area of delivery
  • Level 3 vocational qualification in M/V (Or evidence of occupational competence)
  • GCSE Grade C or above equivalent in literacy, numeracy, ICT or other media as appropriate)
  • Be able to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence

Nova was established as a Private Training Provider in September 1992 and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022. We are part of the recruitment agency Staff Select Ltd. Over the years Nova has operated a number of youth and adult training programmes and also delivered employer led programmes and qualifications such as NVQ's and Apprenticeships. Our Head Office has always remained in Willenhall Town Centre (within Walsall Local Authority). Historically we have delivered training programmes across all four Black Country Local Authorities. In 2001 we opened our first centre outside the Black Country, setting up a motor vehicle workshop in Telford.
