About the role

The Legal Technology Apprenticeship is a 3-year Level 6 programme working in Osborne Clarke Solutions team. You will gain a BSc (Hons) in either Digital & Technology Solutions or Data Science from BPP University. All tuition fees are paid and you will earn a salary while training. The apprenticeship combines practical work-based learning alongside formal study, gaining valuable experience in a leading international legal practice with global clients.

Requirements

Strong academics (ABB at A Level, predicted or obtained). Capable of quickly picking up and understanding new technologies. Comfortable engaging with people and supporting client facing conversations. Willing to fail, learn and improve ideas and solutions. Curious, creative and desire to change things for the better. Training & development

You will have a dedicated study day each week with live and interactive lectures online. Course content includes video lectures, digital reading and case studies. One-to-one meetings with a dedicated Coach each semester and regular group coaching sessions. Work-based learning with portfolio of evidence demonstrating application of skills to job role. For Digital & Technology Solutions: Data Structures, Algorithms, Data Management, SQL, Big Data Analytics, Hadoop, Machine Learning, RPA, Neural Networks, Object Oriented Programming in Java, UX, DevOps, Javascript, Mobile App design, Infrastructure, System architecture, Cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Information Security Management Systems, Emerging Technology, Process Optimisation, Lean Six Sigma. For Data Science: Core programming skills using Python and Pandas, analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx), data storytelling, predictive models using Machine Learning and AI, database management and SQL, data engineering, unstructured data processing, Natural Language Processing, big data tools, cloud infrastructure and computing.
Additional training
Support from dedicated line manager and buddy. Student Manager and Personal Tutor at BPP. Regular monitoring of progress and compilation of portfolio of workplace evidence.
Future prospects
At the end of the programme, potential to apply for a permanent Legal Engineer role in Osborne Clarke Solutions team. Option to continue studies with Level 7 Masters qualification (with team support). Portfolio of experience within the firm. Access to fast-growth department with national and international job opportunities.
