Apprentice Quantity Surveyor
About the role
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets and tender documents
- Managing and controlling project costs from start to finish
- Procuring and managing subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment
- Drafting, negotiating and administering contracts
- Preparing financial reports and final accounts
- Liaising with clients and site teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget
- Advising on commercial matters
Working week
Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm, 1 hour lunch break. No weekends or evenings. Office based, no remote working.

Training & development
Your training will be delivered by the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), one of the largest providers of higher education in the South West. You will attend university 1 day per week, with the remaining 4 days spent working in our office in Lydney, Gloucestershire.
University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol, BS16 1QY.
Once qualified they will progress to the Quantity Surveyor role, continuing to work within the commercial team.
