About the role

Develop the skills, confidence, and experience to keep Amazon's technology running smoothly while building a long-term career in IT. As an IT Support Apprentice, you'll be based in one of Amazon's UK fulfilment centres, working alongside experienced IT professionals to ensure our technology operates effectively every day. You'll gain experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across multiple platforms, installing and configuring computers, servers, and network equipment, supporting end-users with hardware and software challenges, monitoring and maintaining system security and performance, and collaborating with local and global IT teams on improvement projects.

Requirements

Be 18 years or older before the start date. Have the right to live and work in England for the duration of the programme. Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years. Not be enrolled on another government-funded course ending August 2026 or later. Hold at least 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 (C) or above in any subject. Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade 3 (D) or above. Not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level.

40 hours per week (includes evening, weekend and possible night shifts work)

Training & development

Mix of on-the-job training, online study, and mentoring. You'll work alongside experienced IT professionals in Amazon Fulfilment Centre IT Support team, gaining hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring computer systems, supporting end-users, and monitoring system security.
Future prospects
Upon completing your apprenticeship, you'll be qualified as an IT Technician. With experience, you can continue to progress into specialist or leadership roles across Amazon's vast operations network, supporting innovation and reliability in global technology systems.

Things to consider

You may occasionally need to travel to a training centre as part of your off-the-job learning. Working hours include evening, weekend and possible night shifts. Applications are open on a rolling basis and will close when enough applications are received.
