About the role

Develop the skills, confidence, and experience to keep Amazon's data centres operating smoothly while building a long-term career in IT infrastructure. Work inside one of Amazon's UK data centres, helping to maintain the technology that keeps cloud services running. Gain hands-on experience in supporting AI infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving technical issues across servers, networks, and power systems, responding to trouble tickets, installing and setting up server racks, replacing hardware components, monitoring system performance, learning cyber security principles, and collaborating with facilities teams.

Requirements

Be 18 years or older before the start date. Have the right to live and work in England for the duration of the programme. Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years. Not be enrolled on another government-funded course ending August 2026 or later. Hold at least 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 (C) or above in any subject. Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade 3 (D) or above. Not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level.

Working week

40 hours per week, includes evening, weekend and possible night shifts work

Training & development

Mix of on-the-job training, online study, and mentoring. Hands-on experience in data centre operations with guidance from experienced technicians. Off-the-job learning may require occasional travel to a training centre.
