About the role

Help clients grow, manage wealth and achieve ambitions through trusted relationships. From day one, you'll work with Relationship Managers and specialist teams to support Commercial Banking clients. Have obtained, or expected to obtain, a minimum of BCC across your top 3 A-levels, or equivalent. Be fluent in English. Training & development

You'll build a strong foundation in commercial banking through structured training, four placements and a degree apprenticeship that blends study with real experience. Early on, you'll learn how HSBC supports business clients, how key banking products work, and how regulation shapes the way we serve customers. As you progress, you'll deepen your understanding of client needs, risk, credit, and relationship-led banking.
Future prospects
By the end of the programme, you'll have developed practical banking knowledge, stronger commercial judgement, and the confidence to grow into a client-facing role.

Things to consider

You don't need prior banking knowledge or to arrive fluent in finance — HSBC will help you build that through structured training and placements. What matters most is your mindset, your willingness to learn and your ability to work well with different people. Only one application per recruitment cycle is accepted. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may close earlier than advertised if high volume of applications received.
