About the role
Quality Management Degree Apprenticeship at Sellafield Ltd. You'll work on exciting projects, join a talented community, and help shape Sellafield Ltd's future. The programme covers all areas of the business where everyone wants to deliver right first time. You will undertake a 3-month induction programme based at local off-site training facility, with work placements based on either the Sellafield site or various satellite offices. Academic learning takes place 1 day a week at training providers' off-site facility.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including Maths, English Language, and one Science or Engineering subject. At least 96 UCAS points from A-Level/T-Level, preferably in STEM subjects (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics), but not mandatory. Other Level 3 STEM or Vocational qualifications may be accepted. If lacking A-Level Maths or higher Engineering, must have Grade 6 (B) in GCSE Maths. Functional Skills Level 2 is considered equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (C). Candidates must achieve appropriate security and medical clearances on receiving conditional offer.

Training & development
3-month induction programme at off-site training facility. Work placements on Sellafield site or satellite offices. Academic learning 1 day per week at training provider's facility. Some pathways include Practical Engineering Operations at local off-site training facility.
Future prospects
Level 5 ST0380 Nuclear Technician Apprenticeship and Level 5 Foundation Degree/Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or Science. Candidates with potential can progress to Level 6 ST0289 Nuclear Scientist and Nuclear Engineer Apprenticeship and Level 6 Bachelor's Degree (BEng/BSc) over further 2-year period.
Things to consider
To succeed in this pathway, you should have a passion for STEM subjects and a desire for a career in the field. You must be prepared for security and medical clearances. Progress is assessed via government standards, evidence folders, and final independent review. Note: This role is not currently recruiting.
