About the role
Join BDO's Audit Technology School Leaver Apprenticeship Programme to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience on real projects. The programme offers roles within Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) teams, specifically in Data Analytics and IT controls. The TRA Controls team helps identify and assess risks associated with clients' finance applications, focusing on IT systems, access management, and automated controls. The TRA Data team uses data analytics to examine entire populations of financial data to support audits, exploring data using tools such as Alteryx, Databricks, Python, SQL, and SAS. You'll work across specialist audit areas including Pension Audit, Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services and Technology Risk Assurance.
Requirements
Three A-levels (or equivalent) at A*-C (excluding General Studies and Extended Projects), or four Scottish Advanced Highers at grade A-B. GCSEs at grade 4 and above in Maths and English, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C. Commitment to balance study and professional work. Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
Working week
Time together in person matters – whether in the office or with clients. Agile working with choice and flexibility around how, when and where you work, with the requirement to be commutable to your chosen office location.

Training & development
You'll learn alongside experienced colleagues and build your confidence through practical experience. The programme includes dedicated study support and study leave to help you work towards a professional qualification. You'll receive buddy support from someone with first-hand experience of the apprenticeship, people manager support for day-to-day guidance, and access to peer networks with other trainees.
Additional training
Dedicated sessions for personal and professional development. Participation in BDO Networks including BLEND (LGBTQ+ network), BDO Inspire (Gender balance network), and CEDAR (Celebrating Ethnic Diversity and Races network).

Things to consider
You need to live within a commutable distance of the office you apply to. Relocation support is not provided. Organisation-wide induction required on Monday, 20th September 2027. Right to work in the UK must cover the duration of the 4-year training contract and employment.
