About the role
As a TfL Land Surveyor, you'll gain experience of working on a range of projects across London's transport infrastructure which support the design, engineering, construction and asset management processes. Land Surveyors make use of rapidly evolving technology such as drones, 3D laser scanners, satellite and inertial navigation systems to capture accurate data in new innovative ways. Your 5-year development programme will be made up of placements within the Land Survey team and wider Engineering team.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade 4 (C) and above including Maths and English language. Hold or be working towards a minimum of 2 A-Levels at grades A* - C (or equivalent) in any subject. You must be 18 years old by September 2025 to be eligible for this scheme.

Training & development
5-year development programme made up of placements within the Land Survey team and wider Engineering team. On successful completion, you'll roll-off into the Land Survey team as a Land Surveyor (Band 2 Engineer).

On successful completion of this scheme, you'll roll-off into the Land Survey team as a Land Surveyor (Band 2 Engineer). You'll be able to continue your career progression providing survey data, drawings, models and geospatial information that keep vital, innovative and big-budget projects moving. You will also gain a BSc (Hons) Surveying and Mapping Science accredited by the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).
