Roofing apprenticeship
Apprenticeships are open from age 16, once you have finished Year 11 (S4 in Scotland).
About the role
- Assist experienced roofers with day-to-day roofing work
- Learn to safely work at height and use access equipment
- Prepare and handle roofing materials and tools
- Measure, cut and fit roofing materials
- Assist with roof repairs, maintenance and installations
- Learn to install tiles, slates and other roofing materials
- Keep the work area clean, safe and organised
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Develop practical skills and take on more responsibility as confidence grows
- Attend training with Greenlight Training and work towards the apprenticeship qualification
Working week
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Things to consider
- You will need to independently travel around Bristol and a CSCS card is required

We work closely with employers to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training, combining workplace experience with structured learning and ongoing support.
Our aim is to help apprentices build a strong foundation for their future, supporting them throughout their apprenticeship and helping them progress into further training, qualifications and long-term employment.
This role is in Bristol. If you'd be moving for it, a room in a shared house there typically runs £650–£900 a month.
