Graduate Apprentice Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview You will be an active engineering team member, working as part of our Mechanical Engineering Design project team. Involved in developing, delivering and supporting our mechanical designs from start to finish, within the full range of our products. We will train you to use industry standard CAD and Simulation tools. Skills you will use to design parts, components and sub-assemblies, up to full laser systems. This will include control of ordering or fabricating designs and then hands-on assembly of prototypes. As a member of the Mechanical Design team, you will pull together external off-the-shelf componentry and internal optical and electronic sub-assemblies into full systems, picking up key engineering skills in the process. You will have responsibility for achievement of both personal and team-based goals, delivering project focused outputs.
