As a Teaching Assistant, you would support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both inside and outside the classroom. Duties will include: Supporting learners with their Welsh language and literacy skills Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) Supporting pupils with their numeracy, literacy and ICT skills Supporting learners across the various areas of the classroom Understanding safeguarding and behaviour policies and your role within these policies Promoting Welsh culture Working with children aged 3–6 within the Foundation Phase Supporting the teacher in various classroom roles Being able to conduct yourself professionally at all times when working in schools Must be fluent in Welsh A desire to learn more about becoming a Teaching Assistant Enthusiasm for working with children Possess relevant qualities, including patience and good communication skills The ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times The ability to listen to and learn from more experienced staff
