Required qualifications
Training & development
You will work towards achieving the Chartered Surveyor Degree apprenticeship, which includes:
- BSc (Hons) degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM)
You will also work towards your APC (the Assessment of Professional Competence), which is the final assessment of your apprenticeship and leads to the MRICS qualification (Chartered Surveyor).
Training will be delivered at Harper Adams University through block weeks of training, supported by activities in the workplace such as work shadowing. There will be 8 block weeks of training throughout the year on campus that you will be expected to attend.
This apprenticeship leads to a qualified profession (MRICS). We will support you to achieve this as part of the structured programme. Once qualified you will have the opportunity to grow further within the business should you prove yourself as the right fit for the job.
Things to consider
You will need to balance work, study and home life and manage different priorities for meeting deadlines at work and also for academic study. You will be supported by your employer and the university to do this but you will need to manage your time effectively in order to meet these potentially competing demands.
You will also need to travel to different rural locations in the surrounding area, so access to your own transport is essential for this role.
