Plastering Apprenticeship
Apprenticeships are open from age 16, once you have finished Year 11 (S4 in Scotland).
About the role
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Preparing surfaces ready for plastering, including cleaning and applying bonding agents
- Mixing and applying plaster to walls and ceilings to achieve a smooth finish
- Repairing and patching damaged plasterwork
- Applying finishing coats and ensuring surfaces are ready for decoration
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment on-site
Working week
Monday to Friday shifts TBC.
Skills
Training & development
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.
Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship. Find out about potential future pay (opens in new tab).
To become a qualified plasterer with the opportunity to progress to Site Supervisor, Foreperson or several other options.
