Job roles will include: Working within a workshop full-time as a Technician / Teaching Assistant. Promote sustainable use of natural resources. Ensure safe working practices are adhered to by learners. Support learners with practical skills in D+T workshop. Support learners through the skills needed and methods used to create a variety of products, from design to producing it. Support learners to gather evidence Be involved in mentoring learners and building their confidence and capabilities. Helping learners who need extra support to complete tasks. Understand the safeguarding and behaviour policy and you’re role within these policies. Ensure learners follow H+S guidelines and Normal Operating procedures in the workshop. Working with young people aged 11 – 16. Supporting a teacher in various roles within the workshop. Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times whilst working for the school. As part of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake a structured training programme that includes: On-the-job training – gaining practical experience within a school / office setting. Off-the-job training – attending sessions covering safeguarding, behaviour management, child development, and learning strategies. Regular assessments and feedback to track progress and improve skills. Additional learning support, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
