About the role
A Chartered Manager degree apprentice (CMDA) programme immersing you in a diverse range of responsibilities, equipping you with the tools to become a strategic decision-maker who collaborates, builds, and leads teams to achieve results together. You'll refine your skills in communication, leadership, and the art of motivating others. You'll master the intricacies of project management, financial acumen, innovation, and risk management, while cultivating inclusive and ethical cultures that enable teams to thrive.
Requirements
Be a UK national, or a non-UK national with the right to work in the UK, or an EU national with settled status. Have lived in the UK, an EEA country, or a British Overseas Territory for at least three years prior to the programme start date. Be resident in the UK for the entire duration of the programme. Not be registered on another UK government-funded course ending August 2026 or later. Be 18 years or older before entering an Amazon building. Hold three A-Levels at grade C or above (or equivalent). Prior two years' experience in a supervisory role is beneficial but not essential. Not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship.

Training & development
You'll combine classroom learning with hands-on experience in one of Amazon's fast-paced operational sites, working a full-time 40-hour week (including potential weekend and/or night shifts). You'll dedicate 20% of your time to university study - attending lectures and workshops, completing assignments, and developing your professional knowledge. The remaining 80% is spent learning on the job, supported by your manager and experienced mentors. Learning areas include: Leadership and people management, Project and strategic planning, Financial and business acumen, Risk and change management, Ethical leadership and inclusion.
Future prospects
Successful apprentices often progress into management roles across Amazon's operations network or other business areas, continuing to grow their leadership and business expertise. Graduates have gone on to become Shift Managers and Team Leaders across the operations network โ with others moving into corporate and middle-management roles in HR, Finance, and beyond.
