About the role

As a JLR Apprentice, you'll be starting your journey to a fantastic career working alongside an inspirational team to help you achieve the exceptional. You'll get to work on projects that are fundamental to our global success in an environment which is collaborative, open, diverse and dynamic. From day one, you'll be making a real impact on our business – experiencing the scale and breadth of an industry-leading finance division. Focusing on partnering or supporting key projects, you will provide financial analysis and insight as you work together with operational teams. Your responsibilities will range from budgeting, forecasting and profit planning to strategy and investment appraisals, you'll also play a vital role in process improvement and optimisation. Along the way, you will bring a fresh perspective to all areas of the business, including industrial operations, product engineering, commercial, procurement and corporate operations.

Requirements

To be eligible for the programme, you will need to demonstrate a real passion for finance and a highly analytical mindset. This should be backed by three A levels (or equivalent) equal to a combination of grades B,B,C or above from any discipline. In addition, you will require maths and English GCSEs at Level 5 (Grade C) or above, alongside at least three other GCSEs at Level 5 (Grade C) or above.

Training & development

As well as working in key teams within the Finance function at JLR, you will study for your CIMA qualification over the four-year programme. You'll study several modules to enhance your accounting knowledge such as Strategic Management, Financial Strategy, Management Accounting and Financial Reporting. You will work your way through from certificate level to strategic level, developing your knowledge and understanding of Finance and applying this to your role at JLR.
Future prospects
On completion of your apprenticeship, you could become an analyst or senior financial analyst. You will achieve the Accountancy or Taxation Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship (including CIMA Accountancy up to the Strategic Level or an ACCA Qualification). To gain your Apprenticeship, you must pass your End Point Assessment (EPA) which is graded as a pass, merit or distinction.
