• Lead a team to create awe and inspiration for the children you care for through planning and creating exciting activities and teaching them new skills
• Gain new knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout your apprenticeship to become a qualified lead practitioner
• Support the team and children's daily needs, from helping them at mealtimes, supporting their sleep needs and their well-being too
• Lead training within the setting to ensure your team help children learn through a range of play types both indoors and outdoors, as well as enhancing cultural experiences
• Leading by example to ensure a positive working environment

• Working towards a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship standard, including any necessary Functional Skills
• All training will take place at within the nursery, and you will also attend virtual masterclasses

At The Life Nursery, we are committed to providing a stimulating learning environment where learning takes place through play following children’s individual interests, in the moment planning and working in partnership with parents.

We know that children’s learning needs to be fun and exciting and we deliver this in a safe and engaging learning environment. We work to all OFSTED regulations and cover all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Children have free flow access to play both indoors and out. The outdoor area is secure and enclosed for children’s safety and is accessed in all weathers throughout the year.

We have a mud kitchen area where children are encouraged to have fun and get messy; a large sand pit to build models and to dig for treasure; and numerous other resources that promote a child’s natural instinct to explore, climb and make as much noise as possible. Children are also encouraged to help with planting and caring for all the vegetables and flowers in our vegetable garden.
