About the role

Opportunities available in Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, Embedded Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Environmental Practitioner, and Rail and Rail Systems Engineering.

Requirements

5 GCSEs Grade C/Level 5 or above (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science. Achieved or predicted A Level grades BBC (or equivalent) are typically required, although certain apprenticeship programmes may specify BBB or higher. To study Engineering subjects a grade C minimum at A level in Maths or further Maths is essential. OR achieved or predicted a BTEC Extended Diploma (Level 3) with grades DDM in an engineering-related subject with a further Maths component.

Training & development

Degree Apprenticeship starting September 2026, attending a local University for either one day per week or block placement, working towards achieving a full undergraduate degree in your chosen subject. You will also have the opportunity to become registered with a relevant professional institution. The apprenticeship supports career growth through blended learning including business and role-specific training, networking, mentoring, practical experience, induction, training days, online content, on-the-job learning, and on-demand resources. Includes access to Professional Growth Network (PGN), a networking group run by early career professionals.

Things to consider

The apprenticeship typically takes 5-6 years to complete including End Point Assessment in England. Attend local University for either one day per week or block placement.
