About the role

Join Saffery as an Audit Trainee studying towards the ACA qualification. You'll be taken through various stages of audit from planning to completion, supporting audit engagements for clients across diverse industries. Work with client financial data, prepare audit documentation, assist with planning and fieldwork, build client relationships, and help identify inconsistencies in financial information. The role includes mentorship, structured training, off-site trainee programmes, and regular social events.

Requirements

A minimum of 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels or Highers (excluding General Studies and AS Levels), A minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language or equivalent. AAT qualification up to Level 4 welcome as alternative to A Levels/Highers.

Training & development

Four-year training contract with full support and access to first-class tuition centres. Structured development programme combining professional study with on-the-job learning. Bespoke School Leaver Programme developed with Kaplan includes a six-week business simulation designed to build key professional skills such as teamwork, decision-making and leadership. If AAT Level 4 qualified, eligible for exemptions, otherwise full ACA syllabus required. Training alongside cohort for best exam success.
Future prospects
Completion of ACA qualification with knowledge of core audit and accounting principles, regulatory and reporting requirements, practical audit delivery, business operations, risk assessment, and financial information evaluation.
