As a Carpentry Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced carpenters and learn the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson. Your day-to-day duties will include helping with measuring and marking out, cutting and fitting timber, using hand and power tools safely, assisting with first and second-fix carpentry, preparing materials and keeping the work area clean and organised.

You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop. You’ll also work closely with a recently qualified young carpenter who has completed the same training, giving you practical support and guidance while you learn on-the-job.

You’ll be expected to arrive on time, work safely, listen to instructions, take pride in your work and show a positive attitude towards learning.
