About the role
As an Apprentice with JLR, you will gain hands-on career-building experience at the forefront of the automotive industry while achieving a fully funded BSc (Hons) degree. You'll work on reinventing the end-to-end supply chain capability, using advanced digital tools to connect a global network of 1,000 suppliers. From day one, you'll make an impact on supply chain and procurement teams, designing and executing innovative strategies to optimize parts delivery and ensure best value for the business. The programme provides insight into procurement practice and process, exposure to industrial operations, and understanding of what JLR buys, how it buys it, and who from.
Requirements
GCSE Maths and English Language at level 5 or higher and a further 3 GCSEs at level 5 or higher, one of which must include a STEM subject. Additionally, 3 A Levels at Grade C or above, one of which must include a Science, Engineering, Technology or Maths subject with high numerical content.

Training & development
You will study for a BSc in Supply Chain and Procurement at Aston University through a combination of block teaching weeks, online study and independent learning over the first three years. In the fourth year, you will complete a work-based project forming part of your end point assessment (EPA). Throughout the programme, you will be supported by the Apprenticeship Delivery team, university staff and your line manager. You will develop personal and professional skills, learn from industry experts, and apply academic learning directly to your role at JLR.
Future prospects
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a trained and accomplished buyer with your own specific category or commodity responsibility. Successful completion may lead to a substantive role offer with JLR.
