About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn alongside experienced project and commercial teams while gaining hands-on experience in glazed partition project installations.

As an Apprentice Project Coordinator, you’ll support the planning and delivery of projects, helping to keep installations organised, efficient, on schedule, and ensuring the value of the works is fully captured.  You’ll work closely with site teams, suppliers, contractors, and clients while developing valuable industry skills.

Alongside your practical training, Lusso will enrol and support you through a 4-year part-time Project Management apprenticeship course with Weston College, an opportunity to learn whilst developing your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating day-to-day site activities and installation schedules.
  • Support communication between site teams, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
  • Help monitor project progress, materials, and deliveries.
  • Support the commercial management of projects, including identifying and pricing project variations.
  • Assist with monthly QS duties, valuations, cost tracking, and commercial reporting.
  • Assist senior project managers with project administration and reporting.
  • Learn how to manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed on-site.
  • Help resolve on-site issues with guidance from the wider team.
  • Support development of project management capability to support business & company growth (including managing own personal development)

Working week

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak each day.

Training & development

  • You will be pursuing a Level 6 Apprenticeship Standard in Project Management
  • As part of this program, you will attend college as instructed by Weston College, as the training provider, and an assessor will conduct on-site observations to evaulate your progress
  • At the conclusion of your program, your qualification will be assessed through an End Point Assessment

Course Content

  • Governance Frameworks: Lead project management planning in line with governance requirements. Apply appropriate methodologies, maintain and communicate business cases, and ensure projects deliver value and align with organisational objectives throughout the lifecycle.
  • Business Environment: Analyse project contexts, opportunities, and challenges across different organisations and sectors. Consider ethical, legal, regulatory, and sustainability factors, including net-zero objectives.
  • Stakeholder & Communication Management: Identify and manage internal and external stakeholders. Deliver effective communication plans, evaluate feedback, and use negotiation and influencing skills to build engagement and achieve project goals.
  • Time, Cost & Quality Control: Manage projects within agreed constraints. Monitor budgets, forecasts, performance indicators, progress, costs, and quality standards to ensure successful delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks, opportunities, and issues using qualitative and quantitative methods. Implement mitigation strategies and regularly review risk management plans.
  • Commercial & Contract Management: Evaluate procurement and contract options, support contract management activities, and help achieve programme and project outcomes.
  • Project Change Control: Apply recognised change management processes, assess change requests, make informed decisions, and manage change within different project methodologies.
  • Schedule Management: Analyse project data, maintain schedule integrity, resolve scheduling issues, manage resources effectively, and negotiate resource allocation to meet project demands.

Things to consider

  • The candidate will require a Level 3 qualification to proceed onto a degree-level programme.
  • The candidate must be able to comply with health and safety (H&S) requirements for all facets of employment.
  • CSCS card will be required.  The company will support the apprentice to obtain this. 
  • Access to own transport, this is a genuine business requirement due to the location.
